The Republic of Ireland international could return this Christmas, as opposed to initial claims ruling him out of the whole of 2017-18.
The club’s twitter handle updated its followers on Coleman’s road to early recovery with a picture of the defender training outdoor for the first time since breaking his leg while on international duty in March.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman was initially certain he wouldn’t be able to call upon the services of Coleman this term, and was forced to look into the market for a right-back as a result.
Cuco Martina arrived from Southampton as a free agent, and will contest with Mason Holgate for a starting spot at right-back.
