According to beIN SPORTS’ Senior Football Anchor and former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys, Liverpool’s transfer activities in the summer market might have gone on with the club unable to get their hands on the players of manager Jurgen Klopp’s agent Mark Kosicke.
The German agent has a host of German clients that includes Bayern Munich centre-back Mats Hummels.
Keys on his blog claimed, “I can’t validate it, but I’m told his (Klopp) agent, Mark Kosicke, didn’t want to send players to Anfield this summer. If not, why not? What does he know that we don’t?”
Perhaps, football’s own version of WikiLeaks the famous Football Leaks, will come out with the publication of some unknown details and “clause” between Liverpool, Klopp and his agent? Maybe not.
The Reds have completed 3 major signings this summer, and are expected to seal one or two more deals before the window shuts.
A lot is expected of Liverpool this season, with many expecting the manager to deliver on his promise of at least one trophy every year, following his signing of a four-year contract extension last August.
The German also has 3 more full seasons to go to win Liverpool’s first ever Premier League title as he promised upon his unveiling in 2015.
Having spent around £110million on transfers, a lot of pressure is on Klopp to deliver soon. The earlier, the better.
