Liverpool could reportedly lose out-of-favour star to La Liga European giants

As per Tutto Mercato Web, Liverpool could be without the services of Spanish defender Alberto Moreno this season with his former club Sevilla interested in having him back temporarily.

The 25-year-old left-back has struggled to adapt to the Premier League since arriving Anfield 3 seasons ago, and has only been able to show his potential in flashes.

As a result, he lost his starting berth to James Milner last term, and could only make 10 appearances in all competitions.

The arrival of Andrew Robertson further jeopardizes Moreno’s chances of ever returning to Liverpool’s starting XI, but Sevilla are ready to help save his career.

Having lost former left-back Benoit Tremoulinas to a free transfer in May, the La Liga outfit want their former defender to replace him.

A loan deal, with an option of a permanent buy is being suggested by Sevilla, but Liverpool have made it clear they would only sell their out-of-favour senior team players.

Letting Moreno go isn’t a certainty too, as all hands are needed on deck in all 4 competitions the Reds will be featuring in.

From the look of things, we could have more than one or two players trying to force their ways out of Anfield this summer, and that could deal a blow on the club’s aspirations for the new season.
