According to reports, Barcelona have turned their attention onto attempting to sign Tottenham star Christian Eriksen as Liverpool are adamant that they will not sell Philippe Coutinho despite the Brazilian’s transfer request.
The Catalan giants are looking to replace Neymar, who joined PSG for a world record £198 million fee and they have already seen numerous bids for the Brazilian Coutinho rejected.
As their attempts to sign Coutinho may end in vain, at least for this summer, the Spanish giants have reportedly set their sights on the 25-year-old Eriksen, who could be viewed as a long-term replacement for Andreas Iniesta as the veteran is now towards the latter end of his career.
It will definitely be difficult for Barcelona to negotiate a deal with Spurs this summer.
The North London club will be hesitant to part ways with the Danish international as he is a key part of their side and also because they have yet to add a new player to their roster this summer.
