Everton reportedly willing to offload out-of-favour star for half their asking price

According to The Telegraph, Everton are set to finally see the back of wantaway midfielder Ross Barkley, as they are now willing to beat down their £50million asking price.

The English player has since claimed he is no longer willing to play for the club again, and that has seen manager Ronald Koeman declared his Everton career over.

Barkley’s contract doesn’t expire till next summer, but the Toffees had hoped to cash in big on his sales.

However, with suitors not willing to meet their demand, it’s said they could let him go for half the fee.

The 23-year-old wants a new challenge, and he hasn’t been short of suitors since he made his intention of leaving Goodison Park known.

Tottenham, Chelsea, and Manchester United are all interested in Barkley’s services, though they’ve shown different degrees of interest.

There are just some 3 weeks before the transfer market shuts, and despite currently being on the sidelines to a groin knock, it’s expected that a deal will soon be wrapped up for the England international.

For £25million, though, Ross Barkey could prove to be the bargain of a summer transfer window which has experienced huge prices inflation.
