Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes that Everton need to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson and more players if they wish to challenge for a top six finish during the upcoming season.
Everton have impressed many with their transfer dealings this summer as they have recruited the likes of Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Sandro Ramirez, Cuco Martina and Davy Klaassen.
Following the influx, Ronald Koeman has made no secret of his desire to transform the Toffees into a side that can challenge for major trophies.
Now Arsenal legend Henry believes that the Merseyside club will be able to achieve their target if they make a few new signings between now and the end of the transfer window.
He said, “I would love him [Wayne Rooney] to do well. You hope that it’s going to be a great Hollywood ending and he can help Everton win something.
“It looks like they are building a team there. If they get Gylfi Sigurdsson along with Rooney and maybe a few more, then the top six will have to watch out.”
