Wolves defender Barry Douglas has said that playing in Poland and Turkey has changed his outlook towards the game.
The Scotland international left Dundee United four years ago to link up with Polish outfit Lech Poznan, for whom he played from 2013-2016 before transferring to Turkish side Konyaspor last season.
He said, “There’s so many different aspects of the game you see, different points of view from different countries. Being back here is a new adventure again, a new manager, new ideas.”
The 27-year-old Douglas made his debut for Wolves this past weekend against Middlesbrough in a 1-0 Championship opening day victory and is hoping that his performances can eventually gain him a call-up to the Scotland national team.
Wolves will be looking to launch a promotion push this season having spent heavily on bolstering their side and recruiting Nuno Espirito Santo as manager. Douglas will be hoping to play a key role in spearheading the sides defence.
