Rangers accept Ipswich Town bid for the influential striker

Martyn Waghorn has left Glasgow Rangers and to join Ipswich Town, with the English player leaving the Gers after only two seasons.

The management of the club from Ibrox accepted the terms offered by the club from Portman Road, and they will receive around £1million pounds transfer fee.

The 27-year-old forward hasn’t been in the plans of the manager Pedro Caixinha, and that was evident this Sunday when Waghorn didn’t even find his place on the bench to be a substitution against Motherwell.

He was a member of Sunderland Youth Academy, where he had signed a first professional contract before he joined Leicester City.

In 2014 he moved to Wigan Athletics, and during the next season, he had signed a three-year-deal with the Rangers.

In total 78 games played, Waghorn scored 44 goals and had become one of the most important players at Ibrox. Unfortunately for him, the Portuguese manager was not a big fan of his game.
