Liverpool reportedly handed boost in hopes of signing 23-year-old potential Coutinho replacement

Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has posted a message on social media which indicates that there could be truth to a rumored £28 million move to Liverpool, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

The England international has been linked with a move to Anfield this summer and fuelled speculation that a move is on the cards by liking a Tweet on Twitter which suggested that he would be joining Liverpool.

The 23-year-old Oxlade-Chamberlain has just a year remaining on his current contract with Arsenal which means that the London giants will either have to sell him this summer or risk losing him for free next summer.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to add more quality to his side as they look to challenge for major trophies next season.

They will especially need new reinforcements should Philippe Coutinho end up joining Barcelona. The Brazil international is reportedly the Catalan giants’ first choice to replace Neymar, who has joined PSG.
