According to reports, Newcastle United are looking to sign West Ham goalkeeper Adrian.
Though the Spanish goalkeeper recently extended his contract with the Hammers, he will start the new season as the club’s second choice shot-stopper following the arrival of Joe Hart on loan from Manchester City.
The Magpies did not have a solid first choice goalkeeper last season with Matz Sels, Karl Darlow and Rob Eliot all having occupied the position during the past season.
Though Darlow played the majority of last term has first choice, Eliot ended the season as first choice and is expected to be continue between the sticks for the upcoming Premier League season.
Despite the presence of Darlow and Eliot as well as Tim Krul at the club at the moment, Rafa Benitez is looking to strengthen his goalkeeping department. The club are also looking to offload Krul who looks to be a shadow of the goalkeeper that he once was.
