Liverpool reportedly could go for 134-league-goal machine should Coutinho leave

Aubameyang

As per The Sun, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could make a summer move for Borussia Dortmund striker and his former charge Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona is expected to trigger the German manager into wanting the services of the Gabonese goalmachine at Anfield, as a reunion has always been on the cards.

Realistically, selling Coutinho will provide Liverpool enough funds to land Aubameyang.

With 134 league goals in 282 appearances for 6 clubs across 11 seasons to his credit, the 28-year-old undoubtedly has everything to take the Reds to the next level.

While Roberto Firmino has been a fine makeshift number 9, the Brazilian is better suited as a number 10, and would fit perfectly into the attacking midfield role Coutinho’s reported exit will open up.

For all the money he would cost, Liverpool are assured of getting good value for their investment, as a player like Aubameyang can win them the Premier League.
