Liverpool handed boost as target reportedly will leave Madrid if Mbappe joins

Vazquez

As per Don Balon, Real Madrid midfielder and Liverpool target Lucas Vazquez will leave the Santiago Bernabeu should Kylian Mbappe arrive from AS Monaco this summer.

The 26-year-old winger started 16 of the total 46 games he featured in last term, and would see a significant decrease in his already limited-playing minutes if boss Zinedine Zidane decides to strengthen his forwardline by adding the Monaco teenager to the squad.

As it stands, a couple of sides are on standby to make a swoop on the Spain international, with the Reds in the company of Arsenal, Roma and Newcastle as suitors.

Liverpool may yet need to replace Barcelona-target Philippe Coutinho, while boss Jurgen Klopp wouldn’t mind adding more quality to his attack.

Vazquez is a fine option to recruit in either or both cases. He plays perfectly well on the right flank, both in the centre of the midfield and upfront in the frontline.

Furthermore, his topnotch passing, crossing, dribbling, and defensive contribution are also enviable features.

Liverpool can’t go wrong signing Vazquez. However, such quality players don’t come on the cheap, and they are also in high demand.
