Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that his side are still eyeing new signings ahead of the transfer window deadline day.
The Reds have so far added that Dominic Solanke, Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson though they have been left frustrated in their hopes of signing Naby Keita from RB Leipzig and Virgil van Dijk from Liverpool.
Leipzig have stated that they will not be selling Keita this summer while a van Dijk’s sale to the Merseyside club has been complicated by the fact that the Reds had to apologize for tapping up the player to the Saints.
Nonetheless, Klopp has expressed that his side will continue to try and make new signings by saying, “Until the 31st of August we run through the world with open eyes. It’s not that we decide on our own, it’s also about other clubs.
“This pre-season has brought us new players. Alberto Moreno is 100% back which is really nice after a difficult year. Andy Robertson has shown all the skills he’s got. He’s still adapting to our kind of football but you can see what a threat he can be offensively.
“That means that Millie (James Milner) is free to play in midfield. Without going into the transfer market we have a new midfield player, which is nice.”
