According to Football London, Italian newspaper Gazzeta dello Sport claims that Everton have shown interest in securing the services of Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina.
However, they aren’t alone in the pursuit of the Gabon international, with West Ham, Watford, Stoke City, Southampton and Arsenal also keeping tabs.
The 23-year-old has told Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri of his desires to leave Turin in search of regular first-team football.
That has alerted Ronald Koeman’s side, but competition is very stiff for Lemina’s signature.
West Ham and Southampton are said to be frontrunners in the race for the midfielder, and while none of the aforementioned sides are close to sealing a deal, Juve’s presence in London over the weekend could trigger some moves.
Lemina featured in 29 games across all competitions for the Serie A giants last term, but only 11 of those were starts.
Everton are still in the market for at least 2 or 3 more signings and the versatility of the talented Gabonese is a plus, making him a perfect target.
Lemina plays primarily in central midfield, but can also function as a winger, full-back, or as a wing-back on the right flank. He also featured as a centre-back during his Marseille days.
