According to Milan Live, Italian newspaper Tuttosport claims that AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang could leave the Serie A club for good this summer following his poor pre-season form.
As a result, that could pave way for Everton, who were linked with the 22-year-old back in June.
Niang spent the last 5 months of last season on loan at Watford, scoring and assisting twice apiece in 16 league outings.
Having already had 3 loan spells in the last 4 campaigns, it’s thought he does no longer have a place in Milan’s first team, with manager Vincenzo Montella unimpressed with his pre-season performances.
Niang showed some sporadic flashes of his brilliance and potential during his short stint at the Vicarage Road.
His strength and ability to hold on to the ball particularly proved too much for defenders to contain.
If Milan were to sell him, the French star will cost a reasonable price, and Everton can decide what to do having reportedly kept tabs on him.
With his pace, dribbling and versatility, Niang can prove to be a quality, yet affordable addition if signed on by the Merseysiders hoping to challenge on all four fronts in 2017-18.
