Everton forward and England youth international Ademola Lookman is wanted on a season-long loan at Derby County, according to the Daily Mail.
The Championship club lost Tom Ince to newly-promoted side Huddersfield Town, and because of his pace and work-rate, Lookman is seen as a perfect replacement.
The 19-year-old wideman arrived Goodison Park for £7.5million from Charlton Athletic some 8 months ago, and while he has shown lots of promises, a lack of regular run of first-team games isn’t doing him any good.
With the recent attacking additions made to the Toffees first team, a move away would make sense for Lookman as he has some developing to do.
The England under-20 World Cup-winning forward scored only on his debut during his 8-game EPL appearance stint.
While he’s not guaranteed a starting berth in manager Ronald Koeman’s XI going into the season, that there are 4 competitions at hand suggest that Lookman can be a valuable squad member in 2017-18.
He’s most likely to be a regular starter at Derby, though. Koeman will certainly weigh his options, and would decide if the youngster is better off on loan or on the Everton bench next term.
