Celtic’s boss Brendan Rodgers has caused quite a reaction after his comments about former Hearts of Midlothian manager Ian Cathro. The first reaction came from Hearts interim manager Jon Daly, who was extremely harsh to the 44-year-old Rodgers.
Words like ”disgraceful” and ”unacceptable” were mentioned in his response and Daly looked absolutely furious according to BBC.
Before this, Brendan Rodgers had stated that he disapproves the way in which Hearts former boss Ian Cathro had been sacked. The former Liverpool boss had accused Hearts management that they were obstructing Cathro instead of helping him.
Rodgers said: “I have real empathy with Ian. I am sad for him he hasn’t been given the opportunity to do what he wanted.”
This afternoon, Celtic demolished Hearts of Middlethonian with 4-1 at Ibrox, with Leigh Griffiths scoring two goals.
