This Saturday, August 5, 2017 (3:00 PM Pacific) Lobos BUAP will host Pachuca at the Estadio Universitario BUAP for a match in the third round of the Liga MX Apertura 2017. Both teams have distinct objectives this season but will be eager to get the three points from the game.
Lobos BUAP has exceeded expectations in the Liga MX, currently with four points to start off the season. The team from Puebla started off their tournament with an impressive 2-2 draw against Santos Laguna and followed that up with a dominant 4-0 win against Queretaro. Rafael Puente Jr. will be without his starting goalkeeper Lucero Alvarez for this match but may count with one of his latest signings Jonathan Fabbro to make an appearance in the encounter. Lobos has a solid team that may surprise some people this season and does more than just evade relegation.
Pachuca is going into this game in horrendous form coming off a 2-0 loss against Club America and a 1-0 loss against Pumas UNAM. Los Tuzos are aiming for the playoffs and beyond this season with star-studded signings like Keisuke Honda and Edson Puch. Whether those signings perform and get the results is a completely different story. The game should be an entertaining affair to start off Saturday’s Liga MX action in week 3 of the Apertura 2017.
