The agent of Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has reportedly said that Newcastle United are not the only club interested in signing the player.
During his first season at the Emirates, the 28-year-old Perez managed 21 appearances in all competitions, scoring several goals in the process but he is said to have informed the club that he wants to leave after having his time limited on pitch.
The arrival of Alexandre Lacazette also means that he has slipped further down the pecking order at the Gunners.
Perez’s representative Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle said of his client’s situation, “There is a lot of interest in the French league, the Turkish league, the Premier League , the Bundesliga.
“It’s normal, we’re talking about an Arsenal player who did not play a lot there but he’s the only one who scored in four competitions.”
Arsene Wenger’s side have placed a £13.4 million price tag on the Spanish international and it is no secret that Newcastle are interested as they look to bolster their side ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
