Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has warned Barcelona not to waste their time trying to sign Philippe Coutinho as a replacement for Neymar.
Recent reports have strongly linked Neymar with a world record move to French giants PSG and the move now looks close to completion.
As a result, the Catalan giants have recently been strongly linked with the signature of the 25-year-old Coutinho, whom they view as a replacement for Neymar.
Reds boss Klopp has however insisted that such deal will not be happening. The Merseyside club have already rejected a £72 million bid from the Spanish giants and Coutinho will be a big part of Klopp’s plans for next season.
The German manager said, “It’s nice that Coutinho is so highly rated but they can save their energy. In this moment it is about transfers and I have nothing to say. I cannot talk about this just because a Barcelona guy starts talking.
“Did he say they come to Liverpool and do business, something like this? They want to come over, they are funny. I don’t want things like this.”
