Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez reportedly has set his eyes on the 22-year old Argentinian international, Angel Correa.
Mitroa Liga reports from Spain that Correa does not fit in Diego Simeone’s plans at Atletico Madrid and he is now in a search of a new club.
Benitez is expected to take the advantage of his situation in Spain and bring the forward to Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
In his two seasons at Atletico Madrid, Correa made 18 starts and 39 appearances from the bench, scoring 9 goals. Besides La Liga, he managed 14 appearances in Champions League out of which only 3 were starts.
Correa is a classy forward with the speed that he possesses. Also, his dribbling attribute would come in handy for Benitez’s side.
The move for Correa is most likely to happen for Newcastle United if Rafa manages to advance his talks with Atletico Madrid. The Spanish side is expected to bring in another forward, that might lead to a lesser game time for the Argentinian forward.
