The reason why West Ham pulled out of potential £25million signing, revealed

According to reports, West Ham pulled out of a move to sign Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho due to issues surrounding the player’s agent representation.

The Nigerian international Iheanacho had been linked with a move to the London Stadium early on in the transfer window as the Hammers looked to bolster their attack.

The club however realized that there is a dispute over the player’s representation between First Eleven Management and Stellar Group, and then decided to step aside.

Until the issue is resolved, the youngster will remain a City player. After cooling their interest in signing Iheanacho, West Ham turned their interest elsewhere and signed Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic and the duo should form an interesting partnership next season.

It remains to be seen whether Iheanacho’s issues will be resolved soon, with Leicester City currently interested. His chances of first team football regularly look slim as he will have to compete against Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero.
