Everton reportedly in a three-way battle for the next “James McCarthy”

As per Sports Journalist Pete O’Rourke, Everton have registered interest in Galway United’s teenage attacking midfielder Ronan Mannining.

The 17-year-old is highly rated in Irish football, and is also wanted by Celtic and Swansea.

Mannining broke into Galway’s first team of recent, and is arguably the best youngster in the little-known League of Ireland Premier Division.

The Irish club are already prepared to lose Mannining, and will listen to offers before the closure of the transfer window.

The teenage midfield sensation is set to follow in the footsteps of James McCarthy and become one of the latest Irish potentials to earn a move to the Premier League.

If snapped up, Mannining will link up with the youth team and most likely get a chance with David Unsworth-managed under-23s.

The youngsters will set out to defend their Premier League 2 title next season, and are regarded as one of the best youth sides in Europe presently.

Adding Ronan Mannining to the team that recently recruited Lewis Gibson, Josh Bowler and Boris Mathis will further strengthen a side filled with exciting potential youngsters capable of moving to the senior setup in few years time.
