Aston Villa club owner Tony Xia has dismissed rumors suggesting that the club are interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Danny Batth.
It had been suggested recently that the Villains could be looking to recruit Batth as a replacement for Nathan Baker, who recently joined Bristol City for £4million.
However, manager Steve Bruce has good options in John Terry, Chris Samba and James Chester to call upon in defence next season and it looks unlikely that the club will make a move on Batth.
Villains owner Xia who is very active on Twitter, took to the platform to deny that his club are interested in signing Batth, writing, “At least our part is no.rumor”.
It remains to be seen though if Batth will remain as Wolves this summer even if he does not join Villa after the club made new defender signings which could limit his playing time next season.
