West Ham United have reportedly knocked back Liverpool after they expressed an interest in signing Manuel Lanzini.
Lanzini established himself as a key player within the Hammers last season and his performances were good enough to earn him a call-up to the Argentina national team.
Following the departure of the controversial Dimitri Payet from West Ham in January, Lanzini has become one of the leading creative forces for the East London Club.
The Reds are now reportedly eyeing Lanzini as a possible replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who has been linked with a move to Barcelona.
The Catalan giants are said to be eyeing Coutinho as a replacement for Neymar as he has been linked with a World record move to PSG.
The 24-year-old Lanzini joined the Hammers from Al-Jazira initially on loan ahead of the 2015-16 season and the deal was made permanent last summer for around £10million. His current contract runs until 2020.
