Liverpool boss Klopp reportedly wants 18-year-old ace if £100million star leaves Anfield

A new twist has emerged in the Philippe Coutinho transfer saga as per the Mirror. The reports say Liverpool could agree to sell the Barcelona-linked star if they are paid around £100million for his services.

Manager Jurgen Klopp, though, isn’t in favour of a world-record-fee exit for Coutinho, but he has plans to replace the Brazilian with his former protege; Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic if the Reds do cash in.

The teenage USA international winger has grown in leaps and bounds since Klopp left the Signal Iduna Park, and the German manager believes he could help make Coutinho’s loss bearable.

Pulisic, 18, featured in all but 8 of Dortmund’s Bundesliga fixtures last term, and he saw action in all of their 10 UEFA Champions League games having steadily grown into an important first team member.

The German outfit aren’t ready to let him go, but Liverpool reckon a bid circa £30million could change their mind.

While the youngster is in no way near Coutinho’s level right now, he has the potential and talents to be in the near future.

His ability to also feature across the midfield and attacking positions makes him a sort of perfect replacement-in-the-making for Phil.
