Everton winger reportedly being targeted by Premier League outfit

As per The Mirror, Everton winger Aaron Lennon is wanted at Watford, with Hornets new boss Marco Silva keen on securing his services on a temporary or permanent basis.

The 30-year-old has 12 months to go on his current contract, and is surplus to requirements at the Goodison Park having spent most of the time on the bench since Ronald Koeman became Toffees manager.

The additions made this summer can only mean even more limited playing time for Aaron in the upcoming term.

Watford want to part with a small transfer fee if Lennon were to be sold and this should be within the region of the £4.5million he rejoined Everton for in 2015.

Silva reckons Lennon’s career can be rekindled at the Vicarage Road, and his blistering pace could play a key part in the Portuguese’ style of play.

Considering the former Tottenham winger could only feature for 8 hours and 30 minutes last EPL term (out of a possible 3420 hours), a permanent exit, especially to a low-profile side like Watford makes perfect sense.
