Everton reportedly ramp up their pursuit for top target by making interesting offer

According to reports, Everton are willing to offer cash as well as defender Callum Connolly to Swansea as they aim to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson ahead of next season.

The Iceland international Sigurdsson was left out of the Welsh club’s pre-season tour of the United States and their friendly this weekend in Birmingham as is future needs to be sorted out.

The Swans have already rejected an offer from the Toffees which was worth £40 million plus £5 million in add on’s.

It now remains to be seen if Paul Clement’s team will be keen on an offer of cash as well as the 19-year-old Connolly.

At 27, Sigurdsson is at the peak of his career and will feel that the time is right for him to be playing European football.

As the player will most likely want a move to happen, it is likely that a transfer will surely materialize before the end of the summer.
