West Ham star puts the boot into Stoke City

New West Ham recruit Marko Arnautovic has labeled his new club as being more ambitious and bigger club than his former team Stoke.

Despite having signed a new four year contract with Stoke just a year ago, Arnautovic recently joined the Hammers for £25 million to become the club’s record signing.

There is no doubt that the Austrian international Arnautovic would have disappointed many fans of Stoke when he handed in a transfer request to the club to force through a move and the team’s chairman Peter Coates even criticized him for leaving the club that had helped him resurrect his career.

Arnautovic however said that he made the move for football reasons, saying, “I wanted to join West Ham because for me it’s a bigger, more ambitious club,”

Slaven Bilic has certainly been working hard this summer to rebuild the Hammers squad following their disappointing performances of last season.

Arnautovic joins Pablo Zabaleta, Javier Hernandez and Joe Hart in being new arrivals at the London Stadium this summer.
