Newcastle among three clubs reportedly keen on Everton man

Reports from The Sun have revealed that Everton striker Oumar Niasse is at the centre of an ongoing transfer tussle between Brighton, Burnley and Newcastle.

The Senegalese international spent the latter half of last season on loan at Hull City after playing no part in Everton’s campaign during the first half.

Niasse arrived in the winter of 2016 from Lokomotiv Moscow for £13.5 million whilst Roberto Martinez was still in charge.

He was however considered surplus to requirements by Toffees boss Ronald Koeman 6 months later.

Niasse registered 4 goals in 17 Premier League games for the Tigers, but they weren’t enough to win their relegation battle, and they decided against activating the £10million permanent transfer clause in his deal.

The aforementioned trio are reportedly willing to take the wantaway forward on loan and make the move permanent for Everton’s asking price.

The Seagulls are said to be favorites having identified the West African striker as an asset capable of making them survive their first ever Premier League campaign.

The deal looks good for Everton as they look to make a recoup on the fee spent on acquiring Niasse 18 months ago.
