According to reports, West Ham will resist attempts from Liverpool to snatch their influential playmaker Manuel Lanzini.
It has recently been suggested that the Reds could aim to sign Lanzini as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who is wanted by Spanish giants Barcelona.
Though Jurgen Klopp’s side are trying to keep the Brazilian Coutinho at all cost, they may use the money from his potential departure to make an offer for Lanzini and given that the Merseyside club will offer the Argentina international the opportunity to play in the Champions League, he may be open to a move.
Lanzini arrived at the Hammers two years ago initially on loan from UAE club Al Jazira.
He has since gone on to establish himself as a fan favorite and influential player within the squad and will likely form a key part of Slaven Bilic’s plans for the new season despite interest from Liverpool and West Ham are not willing to sell.
He was also one of the best Hammers performers since the departure of Dimitri Payet in January.
