Leeds United Striker reportedly linked with move to Sweden

Leeds vs Port Vale

Marcus Antonsson, who joined Leeds United the previous year, could reportedly be headed back to Sweden. The 26-year-old striker came to Elland Road last summer, but now reportedly has offers to return to his homeland and try to revive his career.

Antonsson came to Leeds United from Kalmar in the summer of 2016, for £1.3 million fee.

Unfortunately for him, he didn’t meet the expectations and in 16 games played for Leeds United he has scored only one goal.

According to the 72 website and Fotboll Direkt, Malmo and AIK made inquiries about this player, and they are interested in adding this individual to their rosters.

It seems that the Swedish striker is aware that he cannot earn his spot as a regular part of the team and that he would benefit going back to the Allsvenskan league, where he had become one of the most lethal strikers.
