West Ham reportedly set to enter agreement with Championship side for 30-year-old

According to reports, Darren Randolph is set to be sold by West Ham for £4.5 million to Middlesbrough as the East London club look to add some funds to their team after buying strikers Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez.

Randolph’s chances of first team action at the London stadium look slim ahead of next season. He is currently third choice behind Joe Hart, who will be expected to start as first choice after he recently joined the club on loan from Manchester City, and Adrian.

A move to Boro could guarantee the 30-year-old Randolph playing time. Garry Monk’s side are without an established goalkeeper as Brad Guzan and Victor Valdes both left the club this summer following their relegation from the Premier League.

A deal at this stage is likely to go ahead and it will be the best thing for both club and player.
