According to the Sun, Liverpool risk losing Germany international Emre Can to Juventus as the Serie A powerhouse wants to lure him to Italy this summer.
The 23-year-old enters the last year on his current Liverpool contract next season, and with extension talks having stalled last term, his future at Anfield remains uncertain.
Manager Jurgen Klopp isn’t willing to let any of his players go, stating during a press conference earlier in the week, “A few people obviously see that Liverpool has a few good players, that’s how it is. But a very important message, maybe- we are not a selling club”
As a result of frequent injuries within the squad last term, Can featured in 32 games, but he could see limited playing time next season if Naby Keita is signed.
Despite helping Germany to Confederations Cup victory last month, the midfielder isn’t guaranteed a starting spot in Joachim Low’s team for next year’s World Cup, so frequent playing time for the midfielder is pertinent to achieve that.
That isn’t a certainty at Anfield, but Juventus could offer Can that in order to convince him into agreeing on a switch.
