Everton reportedly close to £7.7million signing of 29-year-old attacker

Everton are edging closer to securing their 8th signing of the summer transfer window after agreeing to pay £7.7million for Poland international and Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki according to the Mirror.

The 29-year-old arrived from Rennes during the January transfer window but couldn’t help the Tigers escape the drop to the Championship.

Grosicki wants to continue playing in the Premier League though and has rejected an offer from Bundesliga side Freiburg.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman once had the winger on his radar while at Southampton, and now has another chance to finally land him.

With Yannick Bolasie still out injured and Gerard Deulofeu gone, the Toffees are short of options on the wing, hence securing the signature of a player like Grosicki will boost their attack.

Hull aren’t too willing to let the Polish forward leave but could have no choice with the Goodison Park outfit willing to pay them the exact amount he arrived England for.

Everton do face competition for Grosicki’s services though, with Newcastle, Watford and Crystal Palace all interested in him.
