Manchester United boss Mourinho hails West Ham’s impending double signing

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has praised West Ham for securing the signature of striker Javier Hernandez. The Mexican returns to England, two years after he left United to link up with German outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

During his time with the Red Devils, Hernandez bagged 59 goals in 156 appearances for the club before he was sold.  Mourinho has recently said that if he were in charge of United in 2015 instead of Louis van Gaal, Hernandez would have not left Old Trafford.

Following West Ham’s struggle in front of goal last season, Hernandez will be expected to bring the club goals during the upcoming campaign.

At 29, Hernandez has plenty of experience under his belt and is also a proven scorer in the Premier League as he showed during his time with United.

Mourinho has now praised the Hammers for managing to sign the striker, saying, “I am thinking about West Ham for the first match of the Premier League.

“They have got Joe Hart, Chicharito and [Marko] Arnautovic. It looks like they are playing to win the Premier League, too. The teams are fantastic in the market. I am waiting for a bit more.”
