Liverpool are hoping German national Emre Can commits his long term future to the club as he enters the final year of his contract, according to the Daily Mail.
Emre has had a great impact upon his arrival to Anfield from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014. He has played a vital role under Jurgen Klopp proving his versatility by playing in several different positions in midfield and defense.
Emre’s fantastic performances have also gained him a place in Germany’s national squad and he was also recently part of the German squad that went onto win the Confederation Cup this summer.
The 23-year-old is scheduled to sign a new deal after returning from his extended holidays, due to his involvement in the Confederations Cup, but might reconsider his options as Juventus seem to be showing interest in acquiring the player for a minimal fee this summer or better for free next year!
Liverpool want to keep Emre at the club despite being heavily linked with a move for defensive midfielder Naby Keita.
Klopp requires depth and talent in his squad for next season, if he looks to challenge for silverware next season, considering all their competitors have already made a number of quality additions to their own squads.
