Leeds United are currently searching for a center back in order to strengthen up their defence. After Kyle Bartley left the club this summer, the Peacocks lost depth at the critical defending positions.
Many players have since been linked with a move to Leeds and the latest name which has emerged is Tommy Elphick, the Aston Villa defender. Birmingham Mail is reporting that Elphick is on the radar of the Whites.
The 29-year-old has a solid experience behind him, having appeared 153 times in the Championship for Brighton’s first team.
In 2012, he moved to Bournemouth and stayed there until the summer of 2016, making 142 games and helping the club earn promotion into the Premier League a few years ago.
Finally during the last summer, he joined Aston Villa but appeared only in 26 games during the previous season. With the arrival of John Terry, Elphick has fallen further down the pecking order at Villa and is now willing to move.
