West Ham are reportedly no longer interested in international attacker

Giroud

According to reports, West Ham are no longer interested in signing Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

The 30-year-old Giroud’s future at Arsenal is the subject of speculation following Alexandre Lacazette’s arrival at the club from Lyon for £52 million.

Many have speculated that this will mean that Giroud will receive limited playing time next season and he will surely need to play regularly if he is to hope of winning a place in France’s 2018 World Cup squad.

Everton and Marseille are reportedly interested in signing the Frenchman and the Hammers are said to not be his preferred destination.

Despite cooling their interest in Giroud, West Ham will need to sign at least one forward this summer after Diafra Sakho and Andy Carroll both proved to be less than effective last season.

They were reportedly interested in signing Manchester City starlet Kelechi Iheanacho but cooled their interest after Slaven Bilic decided against a move for the Nigerian.
