Newcastle United reportedly lining £10million bid for attacker

According to reports, Newcastle United are preparing a final offer of £10 million for Norwich City star Jacob Murphy.

The Magpies had a first offer of £8 million rejected by the Canaries, who are demanding a higher fee and are set to try once more to buy him.

Murphy played 40 games for Norwich last season and his performances earned him a call up to the England under-21 side which recently competed in the European under-21 Championships.

Norwich are believed to be demanding £16 million for the 22-year-old and this is a big sum of money for a player who has yet to play a game in the Premier League but Newcastle are desperate at the moment.

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez is looking to bolster his side ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign and has so far admitted to being frustrated at the lack of signings.

Should the Magpies succeed in bringing Murphy to St James Park, they will have themselves an exciting young talent.
