According to reports, French Ligue 1 outfit Metz are looking to sign Emmanuel Riviere from Newcastle United.
The 27-year-old Riviere has endured a rather disappointing three year spell with the Magpies and is likely to be open to a move as he looks to start afresh and re-launch his career.
After joining the Magpies from French outfit Monaco in 2014, Riviere has gone on to make 31 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals in the process.
He spent last season on loan with La Liga outfit Osasuna, where he failed to score a goal from 15 appearances in the Spanish top flight.
The Magpies will be looking to offload Riviere and he will also be looking for a fresh challenge and likely return back to his native France. A deal is very likely to take place and it will be what both parties are looking for at this point.
