West Bromwich Albion reportedly want to sign Everton man

According to reports, West Brom are interested in signing Gareth Barry from Everton.

Barry endured a rather disappointing season with the Toffees lasts season during, which he was the subject to criticism from many fans of the club.

As a result, the veteran could leave Everton this summer and the Baggies are viewing him as a replacement for Darren Fletcher, who surprisingly left them to link up with Stoke.

Now that Fletcher has departed, Jack Livermore,Claudio Yacob, James Morrison and Sam Field are the four midfielders available to Tony Pulis and he may consider bringing in extra reinforcements.

At 36, Barry has more than 600 Premier League appearances to his name and is one of the most experienced currently in the League.

While Barry’s wages would not be cheap, a fee to sign him would not be high, considering that he has just one year left on his current contract and will be unlikely to play regularly for Everton should he remain at the club next season.
