Everton reportedly need to splash £50million to sign top target

According to reports, an angry Swansea City have slapped a £50 million price tag on Everton target Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Sigurdsson has long been linked with a move to Goodisan Park and the Swans are not prepared to lose him on the cheap.

The Icelandic international has been in impressive form for the Welsh outfit winning the clubs player of the year award for the past two consecutive seasons. He also played a crucial role in helping the club avoid relegation from the Premier League last season.

Leicester Ctiy have also reportedly offered a club record bid for Sigurdsson, which was rejected by the club.

Swansea’s evaluation of Sigurdsson is set to have hardened, since Everton valued Ross Barkley at £50 million.

Barkley is expected to depart from Goodison Park this summer after turning down the chance to sign a new contract with the club and he has been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham.
