West Ham United are confident that Manuel Lanzini will soon become the latest player to extend his contract with the club, according to the London Evening Standard.
The new contract will see the Argentina international Lanzini earn around £70,000 per week and become one of the clubs highest earners.
Should the player agree to the new contract, he will follow the likes of Pedro Obiang and Angelo Ogbonna in terms of extending his stay at the London Stadium.
Lanzini initially joined the East London club on loan from Al Jazira in 2015 before the deal was made permanent last summer.
The Argentine international has since gone on to establish himself as one of the key players within the squad and despite the Hammers enduring a rather disappointing season last term, he was one of the players from the squad.
The form of Lanzini resulted in him winning the club’s Players’ Player of the year award and he was also rewarded with a call up to the Argentina national team.
