According to reports, Wolverhampton Wanderers are closing in on a deal to sign former Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy.
The 30-year-old Ruddy is currently a free agent and is said to be keen on a move to Wolves, who are aiming to launch a promotion push next season.
Wolves recently received rather disturbing news that their long-serving goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia and they will need to strengthen this department.
Ruddy will be a good addition to the side and is vastly experienced, having made 243 appearances for Norwich in all competitions between 2010 and 2017.
Wolves are doing serious business in terms of transfers this summer and should Ruddy join the club, he will become the eighth new player to do so this summer.
Ruben Neves joined the team for a club record £15 million recently while Wily Boly arrived on a season long loan deal.
