In what should be a fun Liga MX preseason match in a scorching Las Vegas heat, Xolos of Tijuana and Club Leon will face-off this Saturday, July 8, 2017 (8:00 PM Pacific) at the Sam Boyd Stadium. This match will allow coaches from both teams to identify their best tactics and lineups prior to the start of the Apertura 2017 in Mexican soccer.

Club Tijuana enters the game after a busy week in which the team officially introduced their new uniform by Charly Futbol plus eight signings made during the transfer season. The players – Alejandro Donatti, Gustavo Bou, Damian Musto, Mauricio Cuero, Luis Mendoza, Enzo Kalinski, Matias Aguirregaray, and Jose Antonio Rodriguez – are expected to be great contributors to the border team who can be considered a title contender in the upcoming Liga MX Apertura 2017. Nonetheless, these signings will cover the sales of important players from the previous seasons like Aviles Hurtado, Guido Rodriguez, Milton Caraglio, and youngster Carlos Vargas.

This game will be the second in Tijuana’s off-season as just last week they defeat Cuervos from Ensenada by a small 1-0 margin with a goal from Ignacio Malcorra. Meanwhile, the ‘panzas verdes’ were recently defeated by Morelia 2-1 in the Copa Pirma.
