Newcastle United reportedly interested in 26-year-old striker

Burnley striker Andre Gray had an impressive season last term, scoring nine times for the Clarets as they achieved a 16th place finish.

Nine goals might not sound like much, but it is considering the side he played for and the fact that he provides so much more going forward.

And Newcastle United could be set to pounce on a move for him, as they are said to be set to make a move for him. According to the Shields Gazette, he only has a year remaining on his contract, and that Burnley might “have a decision to make on his future if he refuses to sign a new contract.”

This looks the perfect signing in truth for Newcastle as they come back into the league. He’s similar to Dwight Gayle and can switch out with him, he knows how to battle at the bottom of the table if need be, and he’s quite a danger man on the break.

He checks all of the boxes, and this is definitely a move that everyone should keep their eyes on ahead of the start of the new season.
