Wolves reportedly on the verge of completing sensational transfer

According to reports, Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a club record fee to sign midfielder Ruben Neves from FC Porto.

Should the deal go through, Neves will be reunited with manager Nuno Espirito Santo, at Molineux.

Neves has shown signs of brilliance in the past and was previously reportedly a target of heavyweights Chelsea and Liverpool. However his career went downhill last season as he found himself failing to regularly make the Porto first team.

Nevertheless at just 20 years of age, the Portugal international still has a lot of developing and learning to do before he hits the peak of his career.

He is also a client of super-agent Jorge Mendes, which could serve to increase the odds of a transfer to Wolves.

Neves has been valued at £40 million whilst he was linked with big-name clubs two years ago, however his dip in form last season has meant that he is within the budget of Wolves.
