Everton to reportedly challenge Tottenham for prolific striker

According to reports, Everton are ready to do battle with Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Bournemouth striker Josh King.

After scoring 16 goals in the Premier League last season, King has been strongly linked with a move to Tottenham. The former Manchester United protégé is however only willing to join a club that can offer him first team football on a regular basis.

Should he link up with Spurs, that may not be certain especially considering that Harry Kane is currently on fine form and is likely to occupy the first choice striker’s position at the club for many years to come.

Everton may be in need of a new proven Premier League striker as it is expected that Romelu Lukaku will leave the club this summer.

Though Ronald Koeman’s team signed Sandro Ramirez this week, he is not a proven performer in the English top flight and therefore signing King could be a good move.
