West Ham reportedly ready to pay £20million for prolific attacker

As the Sky Sports sources find out, West Ham are showing an interest in the prolific French striker Anthony Modeste, who is currently playing in the Bundesliga for Cologne.

Modeste is a former French Under-21s international, and even though he never made it to the senior selection – his goal-scoring skills and impressive performances have attracted a large number of high-profile clubs.

As a matter of fact, Modeste managed to bag 25 goals in 32 appearances for Cologne during the last season, and it is no wonder that Slaven Bilic wants to sign such a prolific player.

Reportedly, the Hammers are willing to pay up to £20 million, even though they missed a huge chance last summer to sign Modeste for just £6 million. In the meantime, the Frenchman’s price has gone through the roof.

Aside from Modeste, Bilic also has his eye on Cedric Bakambu from Villarreal, who scored 34 goals in 81 appearances over the last two years.
